In this task we learned about the history of fish and chips and create a menu about fish and chips. My favorite about learning about the history of Fish and chips is it the first name that Charles Dicken called it ” Fried Fish Warehouse “and it was introduce in 1839 in England. I hope you enjoyed my menu. Why did Charles Dicken name it Fried Fish Warehouse ?

  1. Malo e lelei Minh, My name is Catherine from room seven at Pt England school. Your fish and chips menu is very clear, with great costs and amazing images. I really love your fish and chips menu because it is so cheap and you can even get a free can of soda for buying a medium fish and chips. My only question is, How did you word out your prices? Keep up with the amazing blogging Minh. BYE

  2. Kia ora Minh,

It’s Charlotte here, a Summer Learning Journey Blog Commenter. Well done on giving the Chippy Challenge activity a go, you have done a fantastic job creating your collectables card.

You have included lots of different foods on your menu! I think it is very creative how you have included marketing strategies to encourage people to buy even more (make it a combo!), what gave you that idea?

Looking at all that food makes me hungry? What is your favourite food and why? Have you included it on your menu? My favourite food is ice cream – especially during these hot summer days!

  3. Kia ora Minh,

It’s Whaea Rebecca here from the Summer Learning Journey. I live in the Bay of Islands in Northland. Have you ever visited this part of the country? There are lots of Fish and Chip Shops up here. Your menu would be perfect to include for our summer tourists, especially the free can of soda offer.

I am originally from England and usually Friday is ‘Fish and Chip’ night in the UK. I used to eat a lot of Cod. Now I live in New Zealand, my favourite fish to have with my chips is Gurnard – maybe you could add it for me in your Chippy Shop! I think they are cool looking fish too!

Thank you for sharing your creativity.

    Ngā mihi
